Information We Collect

Location Data

Moves uses your current GPS location temporarily to recommend nearby places using the Google Places API. This location data is never stored or saved by us.

How Your Data Is Used

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely in Firebase Firestore (nam5 region) and Clerk authentication services. Only the data you enter or create (e.g., bookmarks, friend lists) is stored.

Your Rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time directly from within the app settings. If you encounter any issues or have additional requests, you can still contact us at movessdapp@gmail.com.

Moves is a student-built application created for learning and portfolio purposes. By using Moves, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Use of the App

Moves is provided for personal, non-commercial use only. You agree not to misuse the app, reverse-engineer any part of it, or interfere with its operation.

2. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are involved in suspicious activity.

3. Data and Content

Users retain ownership of their saved bookmarks and friend connections. Moves does not claim rights over user-generated data. All other app content (branding, UI, features) is the intellectual property of the developer.

4. Third-Party Services

Moves integrates third-party services including Clerk, Firebase, and the Google Places API. We are not responsible for any issues, outages, or data policies related to those services.

5. Location Usage

Moves uses your GPS location temporarily to find nearby spots but does not store your location data. Your location is used solely for generating recommendations at the moment of use.

6. No Warranties

This app is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee availability, accuracy of results, or compatibility with all devices.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Moves shall not be held liable for any damages, losses, or issues arising from use of the app, including but not limited to bad experiences at recommended places or service interruptions.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
